His dad tries to make him feel better by comparing cooking to dating. You gotta cook many times before making the perfect dish, like dating.
Ji Soo goes to the grocer and informed him that the girl still didn’t eat it. The grocer then says, “I’ll teach you a very special menu.”
Ji Soo goes home and starts cooking.
The next day, the girl sees an invitation to come for delicious food in this room at school.
She and her friend heads to the location.
Ah, no worries. Looks like the whole school got invited.
She sees Ji Soo. He tells her, “Before eating delicious food, you have to eat sweet food first.” He hands her what looks like a dessert.
She smiles. The end.
It cuts to a scene where he’s making food, saying that “Cooking is like writing a letter. It says ‘I understand, respect, and cherish you like this.'”
